Fate/Samurai Remnant

Thoughts
It's an Omega Force game, same as all the others, and hinging entirely on the candy coating the musou combat gets submerged in. Thankfully this is a very good coating. I dunno shit about Fate other than it has enough pages of hentai of it to outnumber the LOTR trilogy twice, but this seems to be a good enough entry point. The main character doesn't know what a Holy Grail is and neither do I, so we're in this together. I'm actually pretty invested in what's going on, especially wrt Saber and Iori's relationship - they have two braincells they're passing back and forth.
The combat is actually pretty thought-inducing once it all gets pieced together. I like swapping stances depending on the situation I'm dealing with. Water for mobs, wind for demons, etc. It also does an interesting thing by putting you mainly in control of a rando samurai guy who's trying to keep up with all these powerful Servants with godlike abilities and colored hair. Iori can put up a fight, but when I really wanna get shit done I spend resources to use the Servants and their abilities, which actually helps the narrative along. You get to feel the difference in power and actually feel some awe towards these various heroic myths of legend.
One thing I wasn't expecting to be smitten by was the music. Game's got some absolute bangers. I mean listen to this. I am waiting for the official release, especially so I can get the town themes. They're super relaxing and will be great for working / studying. Also a great note is how characters from China have themes that use that nation's instruments. You simply love the attention to detail.
The riposte is a horrible mechanic btw. Feels like it barely works half the time. Perfect dodges can be nice but the Omega Force engine is way too loose and based around multi-man combat for it to feel nice. Just let me parry like a real samurai would. That'll give me the goop.
Notes
POV: You Just Posted Cringe
Saber will randomly wear this mask when you're at your base. She's a gigantic dork and I love it.
