I watched the unrated version of this movie this time around - I did not feel like it improved the film for me much. I know people liked it and that's fine, but I personally just did not see the appeal! I think it has a serviceable message about our over-the-top dependency on technology, but it feels so forced that I was left feeling unimpressed. The kills are boring, even in the unrated version.

One thing I will say I was pretty impressed by - and that I wished the movie delved deeper into - is how tech companies will just push shit out the door without building that shit properly first. The MC being like "oh I didn't have time to set up a parental lock" on this AI doll...like sis this is all your fault! You should probably go to jail for that shit! I'd watch that movie.

But yeah meh 4/10 I doubt I'll go back to it any time soon.
