This is more of a black comedy than straight up horror, and it's a blast. Samara Weaving gets to obliterate a family of rich assholes that may or not have made a pact with the Devil. What's not to love? I normally hate the word "subversive" being used to describe art, because I feel like it gets thrown around way too frequently, but there are definitely some interesting twists in this movie, and it allows for "superficial" fun in the bloodshed while also being a biting critique on the toxicity that can come with love bombing your spouse lmao. Check it out if you haven't, it goes hard.
