Why I'm Always Talking About Productivity
This is some prime Digital Garden content baby.
I've written and taken a lot of notes on productivity, which might be weird to y'all because I also believe that Productivity Nerds are annoying, gross little evangelists that try to prey on people's yearning for structure in their lives.
But the reality is that I constantly struggle with my ADHD, and thus have to assume its responsibility by finding ways to fight back against it and do what I want to do. And that "what I want to do" is an important part of it, by the way. Yes, I focus on learning how to be more productive in order to protect my place as a cog in the Capitalist machine so I can support myself and the people I care about. But I also do it so that I can get my brain to focus on the stuff I love: writing and creating, most specifically.
So whenever you see something here that's about how I handle my "productivity," please assume that I am not doing so from the place of someone that's trying to hit you with it like a YouTube channel - it's really just me building up a set of tools that allow me to survive.
Most especially, I want you to take note in the fact that I don't claim any of this stuff will help you specifically. In reality, this a rather selfish section of the Velvet Room, because it's all material that has benefited me. But if it does help you, I'm glad and you should tell me!
